A printers' workshop turned bar — exposed brick, iron columns and a long, unhurried list of stirred drinks.
The building was Harrild & Sons' type foundry until the wars came; the basement is where the lead was set. We left the columns, the worn floors and the cast-iron press; we added the bar.
The list runs deep on rye and Japanese whisky. There is a bar menu of small plates after seven, if you ask for it.
House style: low light, low pours, slow drinks. Walk-ins always welcome; for parties of six or more drop us an email below.
