Beneath Hoxton Square's old electrical showroom: copper, marble and a long, lit cocktail bar that has been Hoxton's open secret for years.
Take the back stairs from the Showrooms above and you arrive in a softly-lit room of brass fittings and warm leather. The list leans into bittersweet, smoke and stirred — Negronis, juleps, sour-edged things you can sit with for an hour.
If you can't decide, ask for the Hoxton Old Fashioned — the bartender will pick the whisky.
